Prunus pendula ‘Pendula Plena Rosea’ is a weeping cherry tree with dark pink, doubled flowers. It grows to about 25′ tall and wide. It is an old Japanese variety that dates back to at least the 17th and maybe earlier. This tree will planted in the Orchard near Mission Street and will replace a declining weeping cherry tree that was likely selected by Elizabeth lord and Edith Schryver. Each sponsored tree includes and identification tag, sponsors name, and opportunity to recognize a family member or someone else important to the sponsor.
